Tasting notes:
The 2012 Barolo Riserva Ginestra is a commanding and beautifully mature expression of this celebrated cru. Aromas of dried rose petals, wild berries, tar and sweet spice unfold alongside hints of tobacco, truffle and balsamic herbs. The palate is deep and structured, with layers of dark cherry, liquorice and savoury earth framed by finely resolved tannins. Powerful yet harmonious, the wine finishes long and persistent, showcasing the elegance and complexity that only mature Barolo can achieve. Perfect for drinking now or further cellaring over the coming decade.
