2015 Fico

Tasting notes:

Fico is the project of Filippo Corsini, Duccio’s son, who wanted to create a completely natural wine from start to finish. A biodynamic wine that doesn't require sophisticated technology or any type of miraculous enological wonders but instead demands a particular attention and kindness of the grape. Unfortunately, Filippo tragically passed away in 2016 but his parent have continued his project in his memory. A delicate and pure expression of Sangiovese, Fico reveals aromas of wild berry, blue violet and blanched almond. Vibrant on the palate, it has a beautifully balanced freshness.

Producer description:

The Villa de Corti estate has been in the Corsini family since 1363. Located in Val di Pesa, in the heart of Chianti classico, the 250 hectares estate is planted with 50 hectares of vineyards and 73 hectares olives trees. Today, Duccio Corsini is in charge of the estate.
