Tasting notes:
Very precise on the nose with aromas of white peach and honeysuckle. Well-defined and rich on the palate with a refreshing acidity balancing the sweetness. Very elegant.
Producer description:
Named after an English gentleman, Daene, who bought the original Doisy estate when it was split up in the 19th century. In 2000, legendary winemaker Denis Dubourdieu took over the estate and improved the quality of the wine and the estate’s reputation. Today, his two sons, Jean-Jacques and Fabrice are running the 18 hectares of vines planted in Barsac.
