Once blended, the final wine is aged for 18 months in French oak barrels (100% new). Ch. Ducru Beaucaillou is an opulent and elegant wine. Voluptuous on the palate with silky tannins, and an exquisite freshness, it delivers an incredible length with a saline mineral edge.

Producer description:

Dating back to 1720, Chateau Ducru Beaucaillou takes its name from the beautiful (and large) stones characteristic of its unique wine terroir. Classified as a 2nd growth in 1855, the property has been owned by the Borie family since 1942, who perpetuate a long tradition of winemaking excellency. Flamboyant, polished and age-worthy, the Grand vin is considered a ‘super second’.
