2021 Barbera d'Alba
Tasting notes:
Sourced from Serralunga d’Alba and in Monforte d’Alba in Barbaresco. Aged in medium-toasted French oak barriques (25%) and 20-50 hectolitre casks (75%) for 12 months. Aromas of blackberry, plum and ripe berry fruit with a touch of spice and tobacco. Medium-bodied, supple and juicy on the palate with a great concentration of fruit.
Producer description:
Now in its fifth generation, Pio Cesare produces excellent Barolo and Barbaresco. The estate spreads across 70 hectares (35ha in Barolo and 26ha in Barbaresco) of the most highly rated vineyards of Piedmont, which benefit from great exposures. They blend different vineyards to produce wines that showcase the appellation as a whole.
