Tasting notes:
This is how Sommeliers drink - we locate wines within a village or commune that don't quite fall into the appellation and reap the rewards! Very similar or identical soil, great quality fruit and winemaking expertise - all for a far reduced price! It's a win win situation! This is a barrel-fermented Chardonnay that, with three years in bottle, is drinking much more like a village Puligny than a Bourgogne!
Producer description:
Jean-Baptiste Bouzereau runs one of the most exciting domaines in Burgundy, encompassing many of the greatest vineyards in Meursault and Puligny-Montrachet. He produces this opulent Bourgogne Côte d’Or Chardonnay from vines located within the communes of Meursault and Puligny-Montrachet.
