Tasting notes:
Barrel fermented and aged for up to 18 months in French oak barrels (60% new). Aromas of red and black fruit with hints of sweet spices, liquorice and tobacco leaf. Complex, vibrant and fresh on the palate with concentrated fruits and soft tannins. It will require 10 years to be enjoyed and should last for 30 years.

Ch. Smith Haut Lafitte dates back to the 1300s however, the estate only started to produce quality wines from the 1990s, when the Cathiard Family took over. It has since become one of the leading estates in Pessac Leognan is known as “the quintessential Graves” due to the smoky notes of both its wines and hilly terroir. All vines are now certified organic.
