2021 Domaine de Chevalier Rouge

Tasting notes:

The Grand Vin is fermented in four different vessels and aged for up to 18 months in oak barrels (30% new). Aromas of red currant, violets and leather in its youth with earthy notes with a bit of age. Elegant with silky tannins and concentrated fruits. Long and precise, it will be at its best within 7 years from the vintage.

Producer description:

Dating back to the 1650s, when the first vines were planted, Domaine de Chevalier benefit from a terroir that has never suffered from harmful interventions. The estate was acquired by the Bernard family in 1983. They extended the vineyards, renovated the cellar and converted to biodynamic farming in 2021.
