Tasting notes:
Grapes are destemmed but not crushed and cold fermented then aged in oak barrels for 12 months (40% new). Lovely cherry aromas with hints of liquorice. Medium-bpodied with a silky texture, this is a soft approach for Gevrey. No fining or filtration. Can be kept for up to 10 years.
Producer description:
Based in Pommard, Domaine Anne Francoise Gros was created in 1988 by the union of Anne Francoise, who brings her share of wines from Vosnes Romanee, and husband Francois Parent who brings his from Pommard. This is strictly a family affair with now second-generation Caroline and Mathias in charge of the estate. They produce wines at Village, 1er and Grand Cru level from the Cote de Beane and Cote de Nuits. The wines have had their fair share of fame with Francois being regarded as one of the leading winemakers in Pommard.
