2022 Pouilly Fuisse

Tasting notes:

This Pouilly Fuisse is sourced from vines which are up to 80 years old. Aged for 11 months on the lees in large oak barrels. Aromas of ripe pears, orange and honeycomb. Medium to full-bodied, this is a bright and lively Chardonnay with a rich texture well-balance with the acidity.

Producer description:

This estate has been in the Giroux family for over 300 years. Since Sebastian took over in 2009, the Domaine has been converted to organic farming. Minimal intervention and long and cool fermentation in stainless steel are some the of the key winemaking techniques that take place to obtain elegant and terroir-driven Chardonnays. Sebastian only bottles the wines once he feels it is ready. His wines can mature for up to 30 months, which is rare in the appellation.
