Tasting notes:
Sourced from Verduno, one of the 11 villages of Barolo DOCG, this 100% Pelaverga is fermented with indigenous yeasts and aged for six months in stainless steel vats. Fragrant on the nose with aromas white pepper and wild strawberries and leafy notes of tobacco. Medium-bodied, fresh and delicate with juicy fruits and mild tannins.
Producer description:
In 1958, Arnaldo Rivera created Terre del Barolo, a cooperative winery aiming to produce good wines while delivering social justice. The winery is located at the lower part of Castiglione Falletto, which happened to be the junction of the roads leading to Barolo, Serralunga d’Alba, and Monforte d’Alba. A constant observation of the vines and minimal intervention in the cellar are two key principle they follow to produce great examples of Piedmontese wines. In 2017, they launched Arnaldo Rivera wines, where only a few growers from the cooperative collaborate to produce a range of top-quality wines their best sites.
