Tasting notes:
Trinoro Bianco is sourced from a tiny parcel of sand located in the highest reaches of the Trinoro estate (600m a.s.l.). Fermented in French barrels for about 10 days, and aged in cement tanks for 9 months. Highly aromatic with notes of grapefruit, pear and quince and hints of minerals. Medium to full-bodied with some structure on the palate well-balanced by a crisp acidity that points to great longevity.
Producer description:
Located on the rolling hills of Val d’Orcia, Tenuta di Trinoro was acquired by Andrea Franchetti in the 1980s. Viticulture never took place before his arrival and no one believed in his project however, he was determined to make world-class wines. By lowering the yields to create deep wines full of flavours, Andrea has achieved his mission and created a true Super-Tuscan which is now sought-after by collectors. Today, his son Benjamin continues his vision. All the wines are biodynamic.
