Petrolo’s pure Merlot remains one of Tuscany’s modern icons. Dark, plummy fruit is brightened by a touch of blueberry, leading into a palate that is both intense and finely structured. Savoury dark berries and balsamic herbs dominate, framed by a subtle oak influence that lends liquorice and gentle spice. With time, floral notes emerge, tapering into a zesty lift of orange peel and a hint of wood on the finish. Delicious and poised, though a touch leaner in breadth than the opulent 2022.
