2023 Vermentino di Sardegna Lucean Le Stelle

Tasting notes:

Sourced from south-facing vineyards liying 350 - 450 metres above sea level on varied soils, mostly of calcareous - schist origin, upon which Vermentino thrives. Fermented in temperature-controlled stainless-steel tanks and aged on the lees for a few months. Aromas of fresh citrus fruit with hints of fennel. On the palate, the wine is balanced and well-structured, with a refreshing acidity that carries the aromas onto the crisp finish.

Antichi Poderi Jerzu is a cooperative winery based in Jerzu, on Sardinia’s east coast. This untouched village has maintained many of its old traditions. The vineyards are located in prime hillside well renowned for producing grapes of intense flavour. The main varietals grown here are Vermentino and Connonau.
