Aged in 100% new French oak for 18 to 24 months after the blend takes place. Intense aromas of black currant and cassis with notes of smoke, tobacco, earth, truffle and spice. Rich and opulent on the palate this is a full-bodied and concentrated wine with a lot charm and elegance.

Producer description:

This estate dates back to the 16th century. Owned by Domaine Clarence Dillon, the vineyards of La Mission de Haut Brion lie next to those of Haut Brion, on deep gravel croupes interspersed with clay. The wines are bigger and more tannic than its illustrious sister property but are also more accessible in their youth.
