NV Jacquesson Cuvee 746 Extra Brut
Tasting notes:
Made only from the first press juices form their three Grands Crus and two Premiers Crus vineyards. Aromas of baked bread, ripe orchard fruits, almond, dried flowers and smoke. Medium to full-bodied with juicy fruits and a delicate mousse. It is a Champagne with a remarkable ageing potential.
Producer description:
Founded in 1798, Jacquesson is one of the oldest and yet most innovative houses in Champagne. In the early 2000s, they pioneered the idea of a numbered non-vintage cuvée, which has now been adopted by most Champagne houses, with the aim to improve the style of their Champagne year on year. Low yields, careful pressing, fermentation in large oak casks, prolonged lees ageing, minimal dosage, and the absence of fining and filtration are some of the techniques they use to create wines of spectacular vinosity, complexity and finesse.
