2019 Brunello di Montalcino Pian delle Vigne

Pian Delle Vigne estate is located 6 kilometers (3.5 miles) southwest of Montalcino. Its name comes from the eponymous area where a characteristic nineteenth century railway station is located. They use large casks to mature their wines and retain the fruit character of the Sangiovese grapes making vibrant Brunellos. Complex on the nose with balsamic hints of menthol and cloves leading to fruity aromas of cherry, plum, date, and notes of cinnamon. Full-bodied with silky tannins and great freshness.
