2019 Cuvee Caroline Blanc
Tasting notes:
Caroline is made from the best grapes grown on the estate and is vinified in oak. Super expressive on the nose with aromas of white peach, pear, lime, apricot and pineapple and notes of smoke. Lively and fresh with a creamy mouthfeel on the palate. It will keep for 10 years.
Producer description:
Owner Henri & Françoise Lévêque founded Ch. Chantegrives in 1966 with just 2 hectares of vines, after they sold their stamp collection. Today, the estate spreads across 96 hectares of vineyards making one of the largest properties in the Graves appellation. They hired the expertise of consultant Hubert de Bouard, owner of Château Angélus in St Emilion. A very good move as the wines made here are excellent and very affordable.
