Filo di Seta Brunello di Montalcino expresses the bold yet elegant character of the wilder and darker essence of the terroir typical of the north-westerly area of Montalcino. Aged in oak barrels for a minimum of 24 months and a further 4 months in the bottle. Aromas of black cherry, plum and floral notes with a subtle citrus character. Vibrant and full-bodied and structured with chewy and refined tannins. It will need 10 years from the vintage to reveal itself.

Founded in 1984 by Sandro Chia, an artist with a passion for wine, Castello Romitorio is committed to the exploration of Brunello’s vineyards. The first vineyards were planted with Montalcino’s indigenous Sangiovese to reflect the potential of the region. The team takes a meticulous care of the vineyard to ensure each plant produces harmonious, balanced yields that allow the grapes to reach optimal ripeness.
