Tasting notes:

Their Amaronne is the star of the estate. Grapes are dried for about 3 months in a well-ventilated loft. Fermented in stainless steel and aged for 3 years in 35 and 65 hl Slavonian oak cask. Aromas of kirsch, leather, pine and a waft of dried mushroom. Elegant, complex and structured with smooth tannins well-balanced with a refreshing acidity. This is a truly unique wine and a modern take on Amaronne.

Producer description:

Founded by Giacomo Tommasi in 1902, this family-run estate is now in its fourth generation. They started with a small plot of vines in Valpolicella and made their first Amaronne in 1959. They now own 599 hectares of land in some of Italy's most intriguing and prestigious winemaking regions.
