Tasting notes:

Aged on the lees in stainless steel vats and in the bottle before release. Aromas of citrus fruits with hints of herbs, baked bread and mature orchard fruit. Very elegant on the palate with savoury notes and a flinty, mineral finish.

Producer description:

Meaning ‘the mountain of little nests’, Montenidoli is a boutique winery which was founded by Elisabetta and Sergio Fagiuoli, heirs to a long farming tradition, in the 1960s. When they arrived, both vineyards and olive trees were overgrown and abandoned and needed a great deal of work. Following organic principles, they began by breaking up the earth to create hummus and raised earthworms and bred rabbits for their manure. Today, the estate spreads across 24 hectares of vineyards which are all certified organic.
