Join us for a sumptuous dinner featuring the incredible wines of pioneer winemaker Andrea Franchetti.
Tenuta di Trinoro, in Val d'Orcia, was the first project of talented winemaker Andrea Franchetti. Against all expectations, Andrea created a world class Super-Tuscan from scratch in a land that was perceived as unfavourable for growing grapes. Years later, his cousin Carlo continued the adventure by growing both Chardonnay and Pinot Noir under the labal Sancaba. The grapes are sourced from San Casciano dei Bagni, a land destined tp grow Sangiovese and Bordeaux grapes. These two wineries are the proof that both defiance and determination can create incredible wines.
Tariq Khan, our Private Sales Manager and ex Sommelier at The Fat Duck, will talk you through Vina Franchetti's amazing wines. Each will be carefully paired with a delightful menu crafted by our executive chef at Petersham Nurseries.
