Jean Marie Guffens has become an important and influential grower in Burgundy. He aims to make Chardonnay from the Mâconnais rival with some of Burgundy’s Grand Crus. Meticulously produced from tiny yields, the Guffens-Heynen wines are powerful, opulent and layered and will gain finesse and minerality with bottle age. They have received phenomenal ratings from various critics.
