Tasting notes:
Sourced from a single parcel in Champs Francs, located at the foot of Gevrey — with part of the site even classified as Gevrey-Chambertin Villages. Vinified without new oak or whole clusters, this wine captures the unadorned purity of Pinot Noir from this northern Côte de Nuits terroir. The nose is rounded and restrained, revealing delicate red fruit tones and a gentle earthiness. On the palate, it shows good volume and freshness, with well-framed acidity and a core of ripe, savoury fruit. The finish unfolds in slow, steady waves, leaving a sense of balance and quiet persistence. A refined Pinot Noir.
Producer description:
Florence and Simon Heresztyn-Mazzini run one of the most improved domaines of Gevrey-Chambertin. Farmed biodynamically, they have produced an amazing run of vintages since they took over their share of the Heresztyn estate in 2012.One of the finest Bourgognes I tasted this year. All from vines in the Champ Franc climat that is mostly classified as Gevrey-Chambertin. 100% destemmed, this is a rich and juicy wine with lovely, succulent red fruits, a harmonious texture and long, fresh finish
