Tasting notes:
The vineyard is slightly higher than the Cazetiers and is planted on fossiliferous clays and white marls with an east exposure. Less rich than the Cazetiers but with more freshness. Aged in oak barrel for 12 months. Aromas of fresh red fruits and spice, with hints of wood and smoke. Deep, round and elegant with soft tannins and a very long finish.
Producer description:
Faiveley is one of the most famous domaine in Burgundy. Dating back to 1825, it was founded by Pierre Faiveley and is now in its seventh generations. With vineyards in both the Cote de Beaune and the Cote de Nuits, they have several teams of dedicated vine growers working for them. They are the first estate in Burgundy to have converted 120 hectares of vines into organic culture. Many of their wines are hand bottled with no filtration making opulent, rich and concentrated Pinot Noirs.
