2019 Sugrue, Bee Tree Rosé Pinot Meunier

Bee Tree is a boutique Sussex wine project from Dermot and Ana Sugrue, the duo behind the acclaimed Sugrue South Downs. While Sugrue South Downs celebrates Chardonnay’s purity and minerality, Bee Tree focuses on Pinot Noir and Meunier, crafting wines of remarkable concentration and depth. Produced in tiny quantities with meticulous care, these wines offer exceptional gastronomic appeal and ageing potential.

This inaugural 2019 Pinot Meunier-led English Sparkling Rosé shows a striking coral-pink hue with aromas of peach, apple, crushed stone, and orchard fruits. The palate is vibrant and layered, with fine, persistent bubbles, subtle spice, and refreshing acidity. Limited to just 1,700 bottles, it’s both a delicious expression and a collectible first release from this single-vineyard plot.
