Tasting notes:
Alpamanta Malbec displays vibrant ruby red, with aromas of plums, blackberry, cherry, violets and cinnamon spice. On the palate it offers a variety of textures, smooth and velvety tannins, a persistent mid-palate and a fruity, refreshing finish.
Producer description:
Founded in 2005 by Austrian-Swiss cousins Andrej Razumovsky and André Hoffmann, Alpamanta takes its name from the Quechua word for “love for the earth” — a philosophy that shapes everything they do. Set at 950 metres in Luján de Cuyo, Mendoza, this 35-hectare estate is one of Argentina’s few certified organic and biodynamic producers. Fed by Andean meltwater and powered by 250 solar panels, Alpamanta crafts wines that are as thoughtfully made as they are expressive.
