2020 Chateau Branaire Ducru

Tasting notes:

Aged for at least 18 months in oak barrels (60% new). Aromas of black berry, plum and cassis fruits with hints of leather and cigar smoke. Full-bodied and elegant on the palate with multiple layers and smooth tannins. Will keep for up to 30 years.

Producer description:

Château Branaire-Ducru is a family estate located in the heart of the Medoc. The vineyard is composed of fifteen different micro-terroirs which covers 60 hectares. François-Xavier Maroteaux now owned the estate. Helped by consultant Eric Boissenot, he makes wines that are pure and classic St Julien in style.
