2020 Les Carmes de Rieussec

Tasting notes:

Carmes de Rieussec is the second wine of the estate. It is selected based on the same criteria as Château Rieussec but approachable in its youth. Aromas of citrus fruits, pineapple and dried fruits with hints of honey. Delicate and concentrated with the sweetness well balanced with the acidity.

Producer description:

Ch. Rieussec is located in the heart of the Sauternes vineyards and has been owned by Domaines Barons de Lafite Rothschild since 1984. Since in charge of the estate, a new cellar was built. A more rigorous sorting of the grapes and fermentation in barrels have played a crucial role in making the wines made here some of the benchmarks of the appellation.
