The estate’s flagship vineyard is Pianrosso, the oldest and most representative parcel of the property, covering 11.69 hectares. Situated between 240 and 360 metres above sea level, the vineyard is characterised by medium-textured soils rich in marl dating back to the Eocene period. Fragrant aromas of violet, lavender, liquorice and sweet spice open the bouquet. The palate is full-bodied yet refined, with layers of fine, silky tannins and bright freshness supporting vibrant fruit. Smooth and caressing in texture, it is an excellent expression of the vintage

Producer description:

The origins of Ciacci Piccolomini d’Aragona date back to the 17th century. The estate lies on the south-eastern slopes of Montalcino, in the Castelnuovo dell’Abate area, where the Bianchini family has built a strong reputation for producing refined and age-worthy Brunello. Benefiting from a distinctive microclimate — relatively cool despite the southern exposure — the vineyards are planted on well-draining galestro soils. These conditions allow the estate to craft wines of elegance, balance and longevity, which have become a benchmark for the southern side of Montalcino.
