Isola is made with Albana grapes, a local varietal of Romagna. Fermented with indigenous yeasts and aged for 3 months on the lees. Aromas of flowers with broom, hawthorn, aromatic herbs, and apricot. Fresh, dry and light on the palate with generous fruits.

Located in the southern part of the Emilia-Romagna, Balìa di Zola produces beautiful expressions of Sangiovese. The Fiore family bought this small estate that came with 3 hectares of 40-years-old vines in 1999. They made it their mission to revive the vineyards and expand upon their holdings by planting a further three hectares. Sangiovese is very much their focus and passion. Ideal altitude, soil composition, climate, and proximity to woodland are all playing a role to make excellent Sangiovese di Romagna, one of Italy’s best kept secrets.
