Tasting notes:

Intense and full red color; it opens generously in the glass, with prominent aromas of cherry and blueberries, fresh fruit, marjoram, mint, and spicy notes. Very expressive on the palate, with a beautiful balance and volume, juicy and sweet on entry, finishing with a harmonious and polished tannic structure.

Producer description:

Gaja goes back to 150 years ago, when the family opened a tavern next to a river port. Now in its fifth generation, Gaja is amongst the most internationally acclaimed name in Italian wine and have elevated Barbaresco to fine-wine status. Known for shunning rules and regulations in favour of quality and innovation, they now also own vineyards in Bolgheri, Tuscany, and produce some stunning ‘Super-Tuscans’.
