2022 Mercurey Clos Rochette
Tasting notes:
Another monopole under Faiveley’s ownership, this parcel benefits form a south-east exposure. Aged in oak barrels. Aromas of citrus, white flower with notes of spice and cedar. Medium-bodied and round on the palate with a creamy texture well-balanced with a refreshing acidity.
Producer description:
Faiveley is one of the most famous domaine in Burgundy. Dating back to 1825, it was founded by Pierre Faiveley and is now in its seventh generations. With vineyards in both the Cote de Beaune and the Cote de Nuits, they have several teams of dedicated vine growers working for them. They are the first estate in Burgundy to have converted 120 hectares of vines into organic culture. Many of their wines are hand bottled with no filtration making opulent, rich and concentrated Pinot Noirs.
