Tasting notes:
Grapes are destemmed, fermented on the skins and aged for 6 months on the lees. Aromas of red and black berry fruits with hints of spice. Medium-bodied and generously fruity on the palate with some texture and a bright acidity.
Producer description:
The Caiaffa family has been in Cerignola in Puglia for generations. Over the years, they have embraced organic farming and now combines traditional practices (using long macerations, native yeasts, and very little sulphur) and modern technology which includes a nitrogen plant to avoid oxygenation of the must.
