2022 Sirkel Chenin Blanc

Tasting notes:

Made with skin contact, fermented with natural yeasts and unfiltered. Aromas of ripe stone and tropical fruits with notes of herbs spices. Lively on the palate with some structure and a slight saline and mineral finish.

Producer description:

Located at the foothills of the Hawequas mountains, between Paarl & Malmesbury, Scali is handcrafted by Willie & Tania de Waal, 5th generation as winemakers. They own a small farm named Schoone Oord (meaning beautiful place in Dutch) which is situated on slopes made of granite and shale soils. Due to the proximity of the Atlantic Ocean, the vineyards benefit from cool breezes which creates fresh and lively wines. They make three certified organic wines, with a total production of 2000 cases.
