2023 Morgon les Charmes

Tasting notes:

Les Charmes is a single vineyard. Following the carbonic maceration, the wine is fermented and aged for 6 to 8 months in oak barrels. Aromas of cherry, red berry and subtle woody notes. This is an ample and fleshy Morgon with firm tannins which are well-balanced with concentrated flavours.

Producer description:

Didier is the 6th generation of winemakers in the Desvignes’ family and owns vineyards across Beaujolais, Brouilly, Chiroubles, Fleurie, Morgon and Moulin à Vent. He grows his vines in the most natural way and vinifies each plot separately to make wines that reflect their terroirs. He also uses hot maceration techniques to enhance the aromatic purity of the grapes.
