Locals call Roberto Ghio a “wine philosopher” — the seventh generation of his family to craft wine in Gavi. His organic-certified vineyards sit in a unique corner of Piedmont, where soils have been shaped by centuries of exchange between inland and coast, and the vines are brushed by Ligurian sea breezes.
This is a refined traditional-method sparkling wine from Piedmont. Bright golden in colour with a fine, persistent mousse. Aromas of buttered brioche, pastry, and dried fruit lead into a light yet precise palate, with a creamy, supple texture balanced by lively acidity. The finish is clean and refined, leaving a delicate impression of freshness and finesse.

Roberto Ghio is a seventh-generation winemaker crafting organic wines in the high hills of Gavi, Piedmont with a philosophical, terroir-driven approach. His family estate spans around 45 hectares near Bosio, where he focuses on small-lot, vineyard-specific wines that articulate each site’s unique character. With minimal intervention, careful viticulture and a respect for rare local varieties like Caricalasino, Ghio’s wines express purity, minerality and the true voice of this distinctive Italian terroir.
