About the Estate:

Owned by the Mazzei family since the mid 1990s, the Belguardo estate is located in Maremma, Tuscany, on the hills between Grosseto and Montiano, about ten kilometres from the coast. Many years of research have allowed the Mazzeis to identify the most suited grape varieties to grow on this very special terroir. Overlooking the Tyrrenian sea, the vineyards benefit from its strong thermal currents, particularly during Spring and Summer, which balance their exposure to the sun. 

Belguardo V:

Born from a project aiming to showcase the noblest character of Vermentino - complexity, sapidity, minerality, and longevity - Belguardo V is the results of years of research while making its prototype Codice V. Aged in amphora and stainless still vessels. Aromas of lemon, lime and apple with floral and almond notes. Medium-full-bodied on the palate with a slightly honeyed texture well-balanced with a saline notes on the finish. Soft, breezy and fresh, this is the epitome of Vermentino.

Belguardo Rose:

Sourced from the cooler climate of Maremma near Grosseto and fermented in contact with the skins for a short time to give the wine a pale pink colour. Aged on the lees for a few months. A refreshing, vibrant and fruity wine with subtle aromas of wild strawberry, cherry and hints of dried flowers.  The palate has a creamy texture well-balanced with a lively acidity and a mineral finish.

Belguardo Ciliegiolo

Intense and immediate, marasca cherry and Mediterranean scrub notes, full and enveloping – an indigenous variety from Tuscany – this is exactly what you need for summer entertaining – served lightly chilled, this can become the absolute talking point of a garden party, and works with surf and turf!
