2023 Beaune 1er Cru Les Theurons

Tasting notes:

The 1er Cru Theuron sits on a mix of clay and limestone soils and benefits from a south east exposition. Aged in oak barrels. Aromas of wild berry with notes of violets and spice. Vibrant and complex on the palate.

Producer description:

Domaine Chanson has been under the Bollinger family’s ownership since 1999. They invested in both vineyards and cellar and improve the quality of the wines. The estate spreads over 45 hectares of exclusively Premier and Grand Cru vineyards in the Côte de Beaune and a further 50 ha of vineyards in the Côte Chalonnaise. Plot selection, yield control and short pruning are some of the strict rules followed in the vineyards to produce wines of the purest Burgundian spirit. The wines from Beaune will be certified organic from the 2024 vintage.
